About Me

I am Juha M. Itkonen, theologian, researcher, and educator. My work centers on the question of how we can find meaning, hope, and connection in the midst of loss, change, and the awareness of life’s limits.
I believe that genuine growth begins with the courage to recognize our own vulnerability — to face both the cracks in ourselves and in the world around us. In those fragile places, something deeper often emerges: a quiet openness to grace and transformation.
In my work, I emphasize procedural fairness – ways of leading and making decisions that rest on listening, consistency, and integrity. When people feel seen and heard, trust begins to grow, and trust makes healing and creativity possible.

I bring together theological and philosophical reflection with the realities of everyday life and leadership. I am especially interested in how wisdom, compassion, and justice can take form in practice — in choices that sustain both people and communities.
At the heart of it all is a simple conviction: that love remains the most enduring response to everything that wounds us.
